Curls are the easiest way to get prim and sexy. Whether you’re off to your big date or you are attending an important family affair, or you’re just hanging out with the girls, curls are the way to go!

To perfect that look, don’t thin them out. Many hair stylists make the mistake of cutting out chunks of curls to remove bulk, resulting in harsh layers. So, tell your stylist to follow curl authorities’ advise to use vertical C-shape cuts, which reduce hair’s weight so curls fit into each other like puzzle pieces. Make sure to have your hands off. Don’t run your fingers through curls after they are set. It’s a very big no-no! Over-manipulation destroys them.

Plus, ease off on the hair products. Let your locks breathe. Limit yourself to those that set curls or protect hair from the environment. A shampoo and conditioner that moisturizes hair from the inside-out should do most of the work. There are specific hair care products made to do the job.

Last but definitely not the least, clip it. To add lift and keep waves in place as they dry, use duckbill clips to pin up curls around the crown where your hairline begins.
